MHAT represents a new approach to mental health assessment that supports faster diagnosis and reduces the time it takes for people to obtain treatment. It was developed by Harrison Healthcare, a leading provider of prevention-oriented primary healthcare services in Canada that is staffed and supported by thought-leading mental health professionals. This tool is what is called a “decision support system” for your providers.
MHAT is designed to simplify and shorten the traditional mental health diagnostic assessment, while introducing greater precision. Depending on your situation, your provider will either invite you to complete a full MHAT assessment, or targeted assessments for specific conditions. In either case, MHAT has been optimized to save you time by adapting to your responses. Our objective is to ensure you do not have to answer unnecessary questions or answer the same question twice, regardless of how many conditions are explored. We think you will find it simple and easy to use.
A Thorough but Simple Process
Because you are here, you have likely been told by a health care provider that you will be sent an invitation to complete an MHAT questionnaire.
Using MHAT couldn’t be easier. You will receive an email from your provider with a link. Simply click that link and you will be brought to a short screen that will ask you to establish a password and then confirm that password. Once this is saved you will be automatically brough the prescribed assessment(s). You may return to this site at any time using your email and password combination to review your assessment questions and answers – as well as to receive any input from the MHAT system once your provider has reviewed your questionnaire(s). If you ever receive another MHAT invitation from a provider, you will simply enter your password to be brought to the assessment.
